Spring Fair 2024

We were so lucky to have absolutely gorgeous weather we had for our spring and craft sale. If you missed out on Saturday, have no fear, there are still plenty of plants to choose from, we are open for plant sales Mon – Friday 10am – 2pm, just pop down and see us.

Our spring plant and gift fair is one of the trusts main fundraising events. The people we support, staff and volunteers have worked tirelessly for months ensuring that the plants are all ready for the big day. Terri, one of the farms staff members has been heavily involved in the ordering and organising planting on the farm this year and has done a wonderful job of selecting some lovely plants for us to grow.

There has been a lot of creativity going on over the week in the craft room, with fairy houses and other woodland creations being made. The farm believes in recycling what it can and uses wood that has been kindly donated from tree surgeons in many of its crafts.

Trading was brisk, with lots of people turning up early to get the pick of the plants. Suanne and Allie were on the tills, although Allie was doing a very good job of hiding from the camera – we can see you behind those plants Allie. There were lots of volunteers who came to help on the day, who helped customers to their cars with their plants and tidied up.

On BBQ duty were Dave, Coral and Colin. In our kitchen making the brews and dishing out lovely cake was our manager Zeb and the lovely Terri. Our most senior volunteer Bernd was on raffle duty – Bernd has been volunteering on the farm for 17 years.

The farm would like to thank all the people we support and volunteers who have put so much effort in over the past few months to ensure that the event was a success. We could not do what we do without you.
