Happy New Year and Christmas Fun and Games

A happy New Year to all and hoping that you all had a very merry Christmas.

Here is a brief catch up of our Christmas week here at the farm.

We wanted ensure that everyone got involved in the fun. Each day we held games with the people we support, volunteers and staff. We also enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner prepared by the amazing and calm Karen and Louise below. Karen and Louise worked hard all week and we would all like to thank them. It is amazing how cool and relaxed they looked making so many Christmas dinners, nothing like the frantic goings on in most kitchens on Christmas Day. The Christmas dinners were really good and really huge, we would all look like Santa if we ate one of those everyday.

Special thanks to Karen and Louise, you were totally awesome!

Zeb, the farm manager was the perfect host and waiter, letting everyone put their feet up and enjoy their dinners.

A shot of all that lovely Christmas food

Everyone was positively full to bursting by the time we had finished our meals.

Suanne, with the lovely Paul who is clearly distracted by the pudding being served.
Jean, taking a quick selfie with all the food.

In the morning there was bingo fun and in the afternoon, general knowledge quizzes. There was some marital rivalry between volunteers, Colin and Coral who were on different teams.

Quiz time, with the nicest bunch of people you could ever meet.
Jimmy kept the peace after Coral’s team lost to Jimmy’s and Colin’s general knowledge team.
Arthur….sorry, I mean Paul Daniels

The lovely Arthur wears his new magicians hat, made by the people we support, Jean and our volunteers.

Arthur tried his best to get his card tricks right, but even with the help of Santa, his tricks didn’t always come off. We love to have fun with Arthur, he is an amazing star and volunteer, who loves a laugh.

We would have liked to include so much more from Christmas week, but our volunteer who writes our website is only in on a Friday… This year we will try to post more from our Christmas week.

Please don’t forget we are always looking for volunteers, even those who wear silly hats.
