Spotlight: Woodwork Facilities and Products
Woodwork forms an integral part of the farms activities, especially in poorer weather. It is one of the farms lesser known services, but we have been up and running for some time now.
We have a customised workshop, that is fully fitted out with a full range of equipment from traditional hand crafting to professional machining tools. We have undertaken projects for our local community as well as for individuals. What we can promise, is that all work will be performed to the highest standard and to your satisfaction.

If you have a project that you need help with, then please let us know, we can make a large range of finished goods, from simple, planters, bird tables and bookshelves to more complex bespoke, made to measure projects. We have time served tradespeople and volunteers who work closely with the people we support to produce a high quality finish.
Please ask for Chris, Suanne or Zeb when you contact us. Any of our staff will be happy to help arrange a time to discuss how we can support you with your ideas, designs, timescales and the type of wood and finish you require, etc.

In trusting us with your project, you are helping engage the people we support with meaningful work opportunities as well as providing an income for Dale Farm Trust, which will be reinvested back into other activities and equipment on the farm.
Here at the farm, we have utilised the workshop to make repairs, redevelop and replace all the wood in our sensory garden, assembling a new locker room as well as supporting our craft room. We recycle as much wood as we can, we also use wood that has been kindly donated by tree surgeons.
