Sensory Garden

Official Opening of Sensory Gardens

The Mayor of Wirral, Councillor Jerry Williams, officially opened our newly rebuilt sensory garden on Saturday 19th August 2023.  After more than two years of work by staff, volunteers and the people we support our beautiful sensory garden is officially open.

In his speech the mayor thanked the staff and volunteers for all their hard work and the positive impact that Wirral Evolutions has on the Wirral. He said that Dale Farm was a wonderful facility providing a caring and supportive environment.

Once the ribbon was cut the mayor posed for photos and walked around the sensory garden with Allie Abraham, one of our volunteers who talked about the garden and the planting scheme she designed.

The mayor then went on to talk to staff and volunteers thanking them for the time and effort that they dedicate to such a worthwhile organisation.  It was obvious that the councillor enjoyed talking to the people we support and how the farm is close to his heart.

Afterwards, we all enjoyed a buffet prepared by the staff and relaxed in the sunshine, listening to live music played on the violin.

We would like to thank everyone who attended, and we hope that you enjoyed the afternoon.
